MAN is the first manufacturer to win the international Truck of the Year award for the seventh time. The reliability and low fuel consumption of our vehicles are key reasons why international transport and logistics companies trust in MAN trucks. With the introduction of the new heavy truck ranges TGS and TGX in 2007 MAN again demonstrated its competence in developing reliable and economical vehicles.

For many years we have been developing environmentally-friendly buses – such as hybrid buses for use in public transport. The successful testing of the diesel-electric hybrid bus in Nuremberg, Germany, in 2006 was a milestone for us. MAN will be delivering these buses from 2010 onwards.

Energy companies across the Globe are insisting on reliable and innovative engine technology from MAN Diesel. Our newly-developed award- winning 32/40PGI gas engine justifies that confidence, for example, because it combines the benefits of an extremely low-emission gas engine working on the Otto principle with the advantages of the highly efficient Diesel principle.

We are one of the top three manufacturers and service providers of compressors and industrial turbines. And we are the world leader in the supply of key components for Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) plants. Up to 140,000 barrels of synthetic liquid fuel can be produced in a new GTL plant in Qatar, using our turbomachinery trains.

One of our key areas in plant construction is methanol. Using the plants we built, our most important customer in this sector has, over the last 13 years, become the second largest manufacturer of methanol – worldwide!
